U.S. European Command has served as a vital strategic forward presence for 70 years, established as the first joint command in Europe on Aug. 1, 1952.
As it marks its anniversary, Eucom honors the generations of U.S. service members and civilians stationed in Europe who have contributed to its collective defense and cooperative security.
